Here is a healthy pizza recipe that you can try:


For the Dough:

1 ¼ cups of warm water

2 ½ tsp active yeast

3 cups whole wheat flour

1 tsp salt

1 tsp honey

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp wheat gluten

For the Sauce:

½ tsp dried oregano

1 can tomato sauce

1 clove grated garlic and a pinch of garlic powder

For the Toppings:

Grated Parmesan

Shredded Mozzarella

Fresh vegetables like onions, mushrooms, broccoli, spinach

Pepperoni, chicken, ground beef, ham.


Mix the yeast and warm water in a small bowl and keep aside.

Take another bowl mix salt, flour, gluten and stir well.

Next, add the water/yeast mix.

Also add olive oil and honey and stir everything well.

Knead the dough well with your hands so that it is easy to handle and gets a good texture.

Add some olive oil on the top and cover the bowl with a clean towel. Let the dough rise for 2 hours.

After the dough has risen for the first time, you need to knead it again. Knead it for a few minutes and then cut the dough into half. Roll the cut half into a new ball and place both in separate bowls for another half an hour.

Next, pre-heat the oven to 425 Degrees Fahrenheit and get ready to make the toppings.

Mix all the vegetables, grate the cheese and open the can of tomato sauce.

Next, sprinkle some whole wheat flour on the counter top and flatten the dough on it. Roll it with a rolling pin and then use your fingers to give a slight edge to the crust.

Once you have shaped your dough like a pizza crust, rub some olive oil on the crust.

Add the tomato sauce and your desired toppings and then sprinkle some cheese.

Bake it in the oven for 12 minutes until you get a perfectly golden brown and crispy crust with baked cheese on the top.

Serve hot!
